- 25th July 2024 – The application process for RBI Grade B 2024 has begun on this date and shall continue till 16th August 2024.
- 25th July 2024 – The RBI Grade B 2024 notification has been released. The link to download the official RBI notification PDF is attached here.
- 19th July 2024 – A total of 94 vacancies have been announced by the RBI.
- 19th July 2024 – The RBI Grade B 2024 newspaper advertisement has been released. As per the details, the Phase 1 exam will be held on 8th September 2024, while the Phase 2 exam shall commence on 19th October 2024.
RBI Grade B Exam
RBI Grade B exam is one of the most significant banking exams conducted across the country.
This Grade B recruitment exam is the only entry-level officers’ exam that is conducted by the RBI.
The RBI Grade B exam is a three-stage process, and the syllabus for written examinations comprise both an objective and a descriptive portion.
Another important thing to note is that the RBI Grade B openings are published for a variety of posts including- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General), Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR, and Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM.

RBI Grade B Recruitment Process
The Recruitment/Selection Process for RBI Grade B (General), consists of the following 3 Phases:
- Preliminary Exam (Phase 1)
- Mains Exam (Phase 2)
- Interview (Phase 3)
One needs to clear all three Phases to be selected for the post of Grade ‘B’ Officer.
The Prelims exam is basically an elimination round. Out of the lakhs of candidates, only a few thousands are selected to appear for the next stage, i.e., Mains.
exam is one of the phases meant for the selection of the top-scoring candidates. In this exam, every candidate that scores above the cut-off marks is allocated a score.
Those with the highest scores in the Mains are then selected for the final phase or the Interview round. This phase too, like with the Mains, is meant for the selection of the highest-scoring candidates.
After the interview round is over, the final list of the selected RBI Grade B candidates is prepared considering the combined scores of those with the highest marks in both, the Mains, and the Interview round.
The candidates that find their names on the final list are eventually the ones that are recruited and get to train as RBI Grade B officers.

The basic pay is ₹ 55,200/-p.m, and the initial monthly gross emoluments stands at 1,22,717/- (approximately).

RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2024
As the official notification for RBI Grade B 2024 has been released, you can look at the latest eligibility criteria and check whether you meet the requirements prescribed in the notification, to apply for the exam.
Eligibility is a crucial aspect of an examination process; thus, we should get a good picture of the criteria for a green light.
Here’s the detailed eligibility criteria of RBI Grade B 2024:
1) Age Eligibility
You must be above the age of 21 years but must not have touched the 30th year of your life. As of 01st July, 2024, you must have been born not earlier than 02nd July, 1994 and not later than 01st July, 2003.
If you have an M.Phil. or a Ph.D. degree, the upper age limits are 32 and 34 years respectively.
If you belong to the SC/ST category, there is a provision for relaxation of the upper age limit up to 5 years.
2) RBI Grade B Officers (General) Educational Qualification Requirements

Now, I’ve said this before, I’ll say it again. No good thing comes without terms and conditions, and the terms are pretty steep in this case given that the Eligibility Criteria are just a nice little time bomb wrapped in very sweet packaging.
I say that because the criterion of educational qualification is as I said a steep one as far as the RBI Grade B exams are concerned. It’s steeper than that of most other Indian government entrance exams, even steeper than ones prescribed for the UPSC exam.
RBI Grade B Vacancy 2024
Latest Update: – In a detailed RBI Grade B 2024 newspaper advertisement which has been published on 19th July 2024, a total number of 66 vacancies for General Stream have been announced.
An intimidating number of students apply for the RBI Grade B exam every year. While most students are unable to make it in the final list, this consequently builds a lot of tension and competition.
However, do not fret as your utmost responsibility is to prepare yourself and hone your skills and every year, more than 200+ vacancies are declared.
The Reserve Bank of India declared a total of 94 vacancies in the RBI Grade B 2024 notification. The vacancies are divided under three heads.
- General (DR)- 66 Vacancies
- DEPR (DR)- 21 Vacancies
- DSIM (DR)- 07 Vacancies

Latest Update: – The RBI Grade B 2024 notification has been released on 25th July 2024 and the application process shall begin from the same day itself and will continue till 16th August 2024.
The newspaper advertisement for RBI Grade B exam 2024 had been published on 19th July 2024. It has notified about release of official notification and total number of vacancies announced.
Last year, the newspaper advertisement published on 26th April 2023 and the official notification of RBI Grade B officers’ recruitment released on 9th May 2023.
The application window activated on 9th May 2023, i.e., the date as same as the release of notification and continued till 16th June 2023.

RBI Grade B Application Fees 2024
The Payment of the RBI Grade B Exam fee is the final step in filling the online application form.
Meaning that your application is considered final only when you successfully pay the Application fee.
You can only pay the RBI Grade B 2024 application fees online via Credit/debit card/IMPS/net-banking/mobile wallets and cash cards.
On the successful payment of the Exam fee, you’d receive an e-receipt from the website stating the same.
This e-receipt would need to be saved by you along with the application form.
In case your RBI Grade B 2024 Exam fee payment is not successful, then you’d have to start the Exam fee payment process from the beginning.

RBI Grade B Admit Card 2024
Latest Update: – The RBI Grade B 2024 notification has been announced on 25th July 2024.
The Phase I exam of RBI Grade B 2024 will take place on 08th September 2024 and the admit card for the same is expected to release 15 days prior to the exam.
Whereas the Phase II exam of RBI Grade B 2024 will be held on 19th October 2024 and the admit card for the same will approximately release 2- 3 weeks before the exam.
Previously, the RBI Grade B 2023 Phase 1 exam was conducted on 9th July 2023. For this the admit card was released on 29th June 2023. The Admit card window remained available till 9th July 2023.
And as far as the admit card of RBI Grade B 2023 Phase 2 is concerned, it was out following the result of Phase 1 exam.
The Phase 2 exam, which was scheduled for 30th July 2023, its admit card has been released on 24th July 2023. The call letter link remained open till the exam date i.e., till 30th July 2023.

RBI Grade B Cut Off 2023
Latest Update: The RBI Grade B 2023 Phase 2 and final cutoff has been released on 27th December 2023.
Formerly, the The cutoff for RBI Grade B- General 2023 Phase 1 examination has been announced on 2nd August 2023, while the paper for Phase 1 took place on 9th July 2023.
The exam for Phase 2 was conducted on 30th July 2023.
The Phase 1 and Phase 2 exam cutoffs are usually released 3-4 weeks after the commencement of the respective papers.
As there is both sectional and overall cutoff in Phase 1 paper, the candidates are advised to score well above the cutoff to be selected for Phase 2 examination.
Whereas for Phase 2, there is only an overall cutoff provided for clearing the paper.
Therefore, the cut off list is provided to assess whether you are selected or not for the next stage.
